Kalai — Terms of Use
These terms are the agreement between you and AiTechies, Coimbatore, India, for using the Kalai app on iOS and Android. By using Kalai you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Who can use Kalai
Kalai is for families. Grown-ups can use it themselves. A child may use Kalai only with a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on the child's behalf and is responsible for the child's use of the app, including purchases.
How we handle data is explained in the Privacy policy.
2. Your account
Keep your sign-in safe; you are responsible for what happens on your account. A guest account has no sign-in to recover it with: if you remove the app or lose the phone before adding Apple, Google or email, its drawings can't be recovered.
3. Free and Kalai Pro
The basic app is free and shows ads. Kalai Pro is an optional paid subscription that removes ads and unlocks the extras listed on the Kalai Pro screen.
- On iPhone and iPad, Kalai Pro is bought through the App Store and charged to your Apple ID. On Android, it is paid through Razorpay (UPI, cards or net banking) and needs a saved Kalai account. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Pro stays on until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Cancel any time: on iPhone and iPad in your Apple ID's subscription settings, on Android in Kalai's Settings (Kalai Pro, then Cancel). Removing the app does not cancel the subscription. Deleting your Kalai account cancels an Android subscription, but not an App Store one.
- If a free trial is offered, its length and the price after it are shown before you start. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it becomes a paid subscription.
- Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its refund policy. For Android payments through Razorpay, if you were charged by mistake or could not use Pro, email [email protected] within 7 days of the charge and we will refund it to the original payment method.
4. Acceptable use
Use Kalai for drawing and learning. Please don't:
- ask Kutti, the AI tutor, for anything other than help with drawing; it is built only for that;
- upload photos of anything other than your drawings, such as people or personal documents;
- post or upload anything hateful, sexual, violent or illegal;
- try to break, overload, copy or reverse-engineer the app, or get around its limits, the grown-up check or Kalai Pro.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
5. Your drawings and our lessons
Your drawings are yours. You let us store them, show them back to you and send them to our AI provider for feedback, only as the Privacy policy describes. That permission ends when you delete them or your account.
The lessons are ours. Lessons, step guides, pictures, text, the Kalai name and Kutti belong to AiTechies. We license them to you for personal, non-commercial use in the app. Please don't copy, sell or republish them.
6. AI feedback
Kutti's feedback and answers are produced automatically by an AI model. They can be wrong or unhelpful. Treat them as practice tips, not as professional advice or a grade. A grown-up should keep an eye on young children's use.
7. Availability
We work to keep Kalai running well, but we provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. Lessons, features and limits may change, and the app may sometimes be unavailable.
8. Limitation of liability
As far as Indian law allows, AiTechies is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost drawings or data, arising from your use of Kalai. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Kalai Pro in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability, or any right you have as a consumer, that the law does not allow to be limited.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using Kalai at any time and delete your account in Settings (see Delete your Kalai account). We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.
10. Apple and Google
These terms are between you and AiTechies. Apple and Google are not parties to them and are not responsible for Kalai or its support, but each store's own terms also apply to your download and purchases.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we change this page and the effective date at the top. Using Kalai after that means you accept the updated terms.
