Delete your Shabdleela data
Shabdleela does not need an account. We hold a small anonymous record of your install and a backup of your game progress, and, only if you chose to sign in, an account with your email address. All of it is described in the privacy policy. You can delete your account yourself in the game, and you can ask us by email to delete everything else.

1. Delete your account in the game (if you signed in)
If you signed in with Google, Apple or an email code, you can delete the account from inside Shabdleela:
- Open Shabdleela and tap the settings button at the top left of the home screen.
- Under Account (खाता), tap Delete account (खाता हटाएँ) and confirm.
The account, your email address and the progress saved under the account are removed from our server straight away. Progress on this phone stays, and so does the anonymous backup of this install; to remove those too, follow steps 2 and 3. Signing in again later with the same Google, Apple or email sign-in starts a new account.
2. Delete what is on your phone
Uninstall Shabdleela. This removes your progress, settings and the random installation ID stored on the phone. To stop notifications without uninstalling, turn them off in the game's settings or in your phone's settings.
3. Ask us to delete the data on our server
Do this whether or not you ever signed in, and before you uninstall if you can:
- In the game, open Settings and tap Copy device ID (डिवाइस आईडी कॉपी करें). This copies your random installation ID.
- Send an email to [email protected] with the subject Delete my Shabdleela data, and paste the device ID into it. If you signed in, send it from the email address of your account, or tell us that address.
- If you have already uninstalled the game, tell us the phone model, Android or iOS version and the approximate date you installed it, and, if you bought hints, the Razorpay payment ID (it starts with
pay_) or the App Store order ID from your receipt, so that we can find the record. - We delete the data and reply to confirm, within 30 days of your email.
4. What we delete
- The installation record: the random installation ID, the device identifier hash, platform, app version, language, the chapter and stars summary, and the dates first and last opened.
- Your progress backup and any transfer code.
- The notification (push) token and your notification settings.
- Your account, if you had one: the account ID, email address, sign-in method, display name and the progress saved under it.
- Any hint credits waiting for you that have not been claimed.
5. What we may keep, and for how long
If you bought hints, we keep the purchase record (the pack, amount, date and the Razorpay or App Store order reference) for as long as Indian accounting and tax law requires us to keep financial records. It is kept without your installation record and is not used for anything else. Usage statistics in Firebase Analytics are not linked to your installation ID or account and are deleted automatically after a limited period. Everything else listed above is deleted.
