Sollaadal is a Tamil word puzzle game for adults and teenagers, provided by AI Techies ("we", "us"). You can play without an account; signing in is optional (see "Optional account"). Unless you choose to sign in, it does not ask for your name or email address, and it never asks for your phone number, contacts, photos or microphone. The game can show ads served by Unity Ads (Unity Technologies); see "Advertising" below. This policy explains the small amount of technical information the game stores and sends, why, who handles it for us, and how to ask us to delete it. Questions go to [email protected].
Your progress (the stages you have cleared, stars, hints), your settings (language, reminders, spoken clues) and a random installation ID that the game creates the first time it runs. The ID is not your name, your email or your phone's advertising ID. This information is saved on your phone and is removed when you uninstall the game. A copy of your progress is also backed up to our server, as described under "Progress backup and transfer".
When you open the game it sends a small record to our server, so that we can keep the game working, know which versions are in use, and send notifications you have allowed. The record contains:
This record is not linked to your name, email address or phone number. The game also downloads its settings from our server, such as whether to show an update notice or the hint-pack list. That request contains no personal information beyond what any internet connection reveals, such as an IP address.
So that you do not lose your progress, the game keeps a backup copy of it on our server. The backup contains your game progress only: the stars you earned on each stage, your daily-challenge results and streak, your hint balance, records of hint packs and other purchases already added to your game (the store order IDs and whether ads have been removed), your language choice and the game's settings switches (such as reminders and spoken clues). It is linked only to the random installation ID described above. No name, email address or phone number is involved, and you do not need to sign in. If you choose to sign in, the backup is also kept under your account; see "Optional account".
The game saves the backup a few seconds after your progress changes and when you leave the game. Each new save replaces the previous one; we do not keep older copies. The backup is used only to give your progress back to you:
The backup is stored by Supabase on servers in Mumbai, India. It is deleted together with your device record when you ask us to delete your data; see "How long we keep it, and how to delete it" and our data deletion page. If you use the game without an internet connection, nothing is backed up until you are online again, and the game works fully offline either way.
You can play without an account. If you would like your progress to follow you to any phone, you can sign in from the game's settings (Settings → Account) with Google, with Sign in with Apple, or with a one-time code sent to an email address. Signing in is optional, and the game works the same without it.
When you sign in, we store:
We use this only to keep your progress under your account, so that you can restore it on any phone where you sign in, and for nothing else. We do not send marketing emails; the only emails we send are the sign-in codes you ask for. Once you are signed in, your progress backup (described under "Progress backup and transfer") is kept under your account as well as under your installation ID.
Sign-in codes are sent through our transactional email provider and are valid for a short time only. If you sign in with Google or Apple, that company handles the sign-in under its own privacy policy: the Google privacy policy and the Apple privacy policy.
You can sign out at any time in Settings → Account; your progress stays on your phone. You can also delete your account from inside the game in Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes the account, its progress backup and your email address from our server immediately. Account data is stored by Supabase on servers in Mumbai, India.
The game asks whether you would like reminders only after you have solved your first stage, and you can say no. If you say yes, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers our messages, such as the daily challenge and new chapters, using your push token. You can turn notifications off at any time in the game's settings or in your phone's settings.
Hint packs are bought through Google Play (or the Apple App Store on iPhone). The store handles your payment, and we never see your card, bank or UPI details. To give you the hints and avoid giving them twice, we receive and store the product bought, the order ID, the purchase token, the amount and the date, together with your installation ID.
If an optional UPI payment method is switched on in a version of the game, you pay in your own UPI app and type the UPI transaction ID into the game. We store that ID with your installation ID so that we can check the payment and add the hints. We never see your bank account or UPI PIN.
The game can show ads, served by Unity Ads (Unity Technologies). Versions up to 1.0.7 used Google AdMob instead; from 1.0.8 the game contains only Unity's advertising software. There are two kinds of ad: a full-screen ad between stages (never during a puzzle and never in the daily challenge), and an optional video that you choose to watch to earn free hints, extra tries or meaning views. We may stop showing the full-screen ads to players who buy a hint pack.
To serve and measure ads, prevent fraud and, where you allow it, personalise ads, Unity's advertising software in the game may collect and use: your device's advertising identifier (the Advertising ID on Android, the IDFA on iPhone), your IP address and the approximate location it implies, basic device and app information, and how you interact with ads. This information goes to Unity; we do not receive it and we do not add it to the record we keep about your install. See the Unity privacy policy and how Unity Ads uses data.
Your choices: where the law requires it, such as in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, Unity shows its own consent prompt before personalised ads, and you can change your choice from the privacy link shown inside any Unity ad. On iPhone, the game asks for your permission through Apple's tracking prompt, and you can change it in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your phone's Settings → Privacy → Ads. If you decline, you may still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you. We ask for ad content suitable for a general audience.
The speaker button reads a clue aloud using the text-to-speech service installed on your phone. The clue text is passed to that service on your device; we do not receive it, and we do not record your voice or use your microphone.
Unless you choose to sign in (see "Optional account"), no account details, name or email address; and never your phone number, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data, or precise location. We do not read your advertising ID ourselves; if ads are shown, Unity's advertising software reads it, as described under "Advertising". Apart from that software, the game contains no third-party analytics or tracking libraries. We do not sell your information. If we add anything new, we will update this policy and the game's store listings before that version is released.
Some of these providers may process data on servers outside India. We disclose information to anyone else only where the law requires it.
Uninstalling the game removes everything stored on your phone, including the installation ID. The record on our server, and the progress backup linked to it, are anonymous; they stop being updated once the game is uninstalled, and the backup is kept so that you can restore your progress if you install the game again. You can ask us to delete it: write to [email protected] and tell us about your install. In the game's settings, "Copy device ID" copies the installation ID so you can include it in your message. If you bought hints, include the Google Play order ID, which helps us find your record. We will delete the record, your progress backup, any transfer code and the notification token we hold, and confirm to you. The steps are also on our data deletion page. If you signed in, you can delete your account yourself in the game under Settings → Account → Delete account, as described under "Optional account". Records of hint purchases may be kept as long as the law requires us to keep accounting records.
Data travels between the game and our servers over encrypted connections. Our database is configured so that the game can only add or update its own record, and the control panel that can read these records is limited to a short list of approved administrators.
Under the laws that apply to you, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us what we hold about your install, ask us to correct or erase it, or raise a grievance. Write to [email protected]; we will respond within a reasonable time and in any case within the time the law requires.
Hint packs can also be bought on aitechies.in. The game itself does not link to that page. If you buy there, you give us an email address so we can send you the code, and the payment is handled by Razorpay (Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru), which processes your card, UPI or bank details under its own privacy policy; we never see them. We keep the order ID, the Razorpay payment ID, the amount, your email address and the code, and, once you enter the code in the game, the installation ID that redeemed it. We keep these records to deliver the code, handle refunds and meet accounting rules, and for nothing else. Codes given out by us for support or promotion are recorded the same way, without an email address.
The game is intended for adults and teenagers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the game asks for no name or contact details; signing in is optional. If you believe a child's information has reached us, contact us and we will delete it.
When we change this policy we update the effective date above, and if the change is significant we will tell you in the game before it takes effect.
This policy is governed by the laws of India. For any question or request about your data, contact AI Techies at [email protected].
